Position Overview

This position assists in accounting for the financial operations of the MetroPlusHealth. Responsible for reconciling various general ledger accounts and assisting in month-end and year-end closing. Provide assistance with internal and external audits.

Job Description
  • Prepare and complete account reconciliations/analysis for General Ledger accounts, including verifying transactions and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Prepare and monitor reconciliations for all NYSDOH Directed Payment programs (i.e., H+H Upper Payment Limit, Safety Net, and Critical Access Hospital & Sole Community Hospital).
  • Coordinate and prepare schedules for the quarterly NYSDOH MMCOR reporting.
  • Maintain proper reports and documentation in department shared folder for internal and external reporting, and auditing purposes including month-end closing checklist to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Special Ad Hoc projects and additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years' experience in a related industry
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Proficiency in PeopleSoft General Ledger System, Microsoft Excel, and Word
