We are seeking LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER who has 10+ years working experience with Full Stack development and a Data Science background to join our State Farm team! State Farm is focused on modernization efforts within the Property & Casualty systems. Are you passionate about enhancing the customer experience and providing fast access to a summary view of a customer's policy and account data? Our policy and account summary data team is looking for an individual with strong technical leadership to help build and migrate critical on-prem solutions to the public cloud.

This engineer will be responsible for working with implementing complex solutions-including functional requirements, coding, support and agile team principles and leadership. This opportunity requires this individual to:

• Apply an advanced understanding of development and support tools, processes, applications, programming languages and environments to assignments.
• Experience in cleaning and manipulating large datasets, building predictive models using machine learning algorithms, data visualization, and statistical analysis.
• Enable solution modernization activities through design and development-related work items and architectural engagement.
• Utilize AWS services to build, deploy, and manage solutions in the public cloud.
• Assist with java services on-prem to understand functionality and data management requirements for future migration to the public cloud.
• Develop and maintain APIs for internal customer consumption.
• Provide the highest level of support and resiliency for problem and issue resolution.
• Provide technical consultation and direction to business and product team members.
• Understand, support, and help define strategy for AWS migration from on-prem assets.

• 10+ years of industry expereince and proven ability to lead complex migrations, manage cross-functional projects, and mentor diverse teams.
• Advanced working knowledge and experience with Full Stack Design and Development (Python, Java, APIs)
• Extensive cloud migration and legacy system modernization (Cobol)
• Demonstrates extensive expertise in cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficient in DevOps practices, including Terraform, AWS Glue, Starburst, and ECS Fargate.
• Advanced experience building and using CI/CD pipelines, leveraging tools like GitLab CI/CD
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Data Science skills needs, working with large datasets and predictive models + machine learning algorithms
