The Financial Consolidations Manager provides administrative and financial expertise to finance and the VCU Health System. This job is responsible for legal and regulatory compliance; financial management; relationship development and other related operations within the finance department. This position works with the Senior Manager, Financial Consolidations. to ensure reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), governmental accounting standards board (GASB) and/or international financial reporting standards (IFRS), as appropriate. This role also works with the Senior Manager to prepare consolidated reporting, external reports and oversees the preparation of the consolidated financial statement audit. This job works closely with program leaders and their staff, not only to educate the staff regarding finance and accounting procedures but also to explore how the finance function can support program operations. This position supports the Senior Manager, Financial Consolidations with the CERSA and OSA agreements and assists with oversight of ARIES financial statements and associated accounting processes.
