We are seeking a highly driven Junior Technical Writer to support our Growth & Strategy team. This role is pivotal in crafting compelling, compliant and technical proposals that resonate with client demands and help us secure new business opportunities.

This position is hybrid.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate seamlessly with proposal managers/coordinators, subject matter experts, program managers, portfolio heads, technical leads, and graphic designers to develop and refine high-quality proposal content.
  • Skillfully research, draft, and edit proposal sections, ensuring clarity, compliance, and compelling narratives that align with client specifications.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of a robust library of reusable content and templates for streamlined future proposal efforts.
  • Conduct meticulous reviews of technical documents to ensure they meet solicitation requirements and effectively communicate Impyrian's value proposition and technical positioning.
  • Organize and coordinate proposal timelines, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring all deadlines are met with precision.
  • Engage in strategy and brainstorming sessions to inject innovative ideas and insights and solutioning concepts, thereby enhancing our proposal offerings.
  • Stay abreast of industry technology trends and solicitation developments to support ongoing proposal development efforts.
  • Assist with maintaining salesforce
  • Other technical tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or relevant certifications in computer science, information technology, engineering, technical writing, or a related technical discipline.
  • Ability to translate complex technical jargon into clear, engaging content for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Keen interest shown through education or experience in federal contracting, technology solutions, and/or technical writing.
  • Demonstrated exceptional writing and editing skills, with acute attention to detail and analytical prowess.
  • Ability to interpret and convey complex technical and/ contractual information into compelling content that aligns with federal solicitation standards.
  • Familiarity with the federal solicitation processes, a plus; however, your strong interest and willingness to learn are essential.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with Adobe Acrobat and proposal management tools is highly beneficial.

Preferred:

  • A background in technology, combined with previous experience or internships in proposal writing, federal contracting, or technical writing, would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of federal procurement processes and compliance is highly regarded.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, managing multiple tasks and schedules efficiently and effectively.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, innovative thinker with a drive for excellence and learning.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts within persuasive, compliant proposals.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk or workstation.

* Prolonged use of a computer and keyboard, including typing and using a mouse.

* Ability to handle light lifting (up to 20-30 lbs), including office supplies, files, or small equipment.

* Frequent use of manual dexterity for tasks such as writing, filing, and operating office equipment (printers, scanners, etc.).

* Ability to walk or stand occasionally to attend meetings, interact with colleagues, or move around the office.

* Clear vision (with or without corrective lenses) for reading documents, viewing computer screens, and performing detailed tasks.

* Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail throughout a full workday.

* Repetitive motions associated with tasks such as typing, using a mouse, and answering phones.

* Ability to bend or stoop to retrieve files or office supplies from cabinets or storage areas.

* Occasional standing, reaching, or walking to attend meetings or use office equipment in different areas of the office.
