Description & Requirements
The Compensation & Retirement Senior Manager drives compensation strategy and leads the development, implementation, and administration of all compensation & retirement programs, policies, and procedures. Additionally, the Compensation & Retirement Senior Manager has responsibility for 401(k) administration. This role will include key partnerships with leaders across the organization including HR Business Partners, Business Leaders, Talent Acquisition, and Finance.
How you will contribute:
  • Manage compensation program design, implementation and administration.
  • Administer 401(k) plan, including coordinating on the census, audit, and profit-sharing plan.
  • Partner with and support HR Business Partners and Business Leaders across all service lines to understand their needs in developing competitive compensation offers and pay strategies on an ad hoc basis.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of incentive compensation programs, policies, practices, and processes to ensure continuous improvement, compliance, and adherence to business and system requirements.
  • Conduct individual, team, and organizational analyses of compensation levels to determine internal equity and external competitiveness and make recommendations to management.
  • Ensure individual job levels and compensation offers are fair, competitive, and within guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory standards and laws governing the compensation programs.
  • Provide advice and support on salary bands, policy interpretations, job evaluations, job leveling and career ladder design to support pay-for-performance culture.
  • Complete yearly compensation benchmarking for Hourly, Salary Non-Exempt, Salaried, and Executive employee populations
  • Lead compensation benchmarking projects based on business need (Intern, Associate, Senior Associate, etc.).
  • Perform job analysis and evaluation, market pricing/competitive pay analysis, and consultation on base pay, incentive/bonus, and total cash compensation.
  • Performs statistical/data analysis (inclusive of data modeling, key metrics, reports, etc.) that helps drive senior leader decision making related to various HR & Compensation Related topics.
  • Provide consultation and analytical support to the business on retention strategies, incentive plans, spot awards, and various project/milestone bonus programs as needed.
  • Serve as point of contact and subject matter expert for compensation concerns with HR, Hiring Managers, and Senior Leadership.
  • Keep abreast of emerging market practices and advise senior management accordingly.
  • Lead projects focusing on implementing, upgrading, or enhancing the compensation processes and systems; maintain and apply internal controls, and document process requirements, business processes, process flow, and systems enhancements.
  • Manage the compensation planning processes (e.g., merit increases, variable compensation plan awards, promotions) and rewards and recognition programs, including communication and training.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 8 years or more of experience in compensation & retirement programs, with a proven track record of managing and driving strategy and planning within this space
  • Experience working in a multi-location organization with operations across the United States
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and transparently across various HR functions including talent management, benefits, payroll, HRIS, and HRBPs
  • Advanced Excel skills to create complex spreadsheets and interpret data trends.
  • Strong project management experience, including leading complex, cross-functional/cross-business projects
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional), PHR (Professional in Human Resources), or SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification
  • Experience working in a global capacity
  • Experience using compensation management tools in Workday
