Summary
The Asst Facilites Technician will have the ability to operate, troubleshoot, self-perform repair, maintenance and service required for continuous operation of all building infrastructure

Responsibilities
(Including but not limited to):
Electrical (Uninterruptible Power Supply, Automatic Transfer Switch, Static Transfer Switch and ----Power distribution Unit), generators, generator controls, fuel systems, switch gear, transfer gear and paralleling gear, lighting, energy conservation.

Mechanical (Chillers, Pumps, Cooling Towers, Water treatment, Air Handling Units, Computer Room Air Conditioning, Computer Room Air Handlers, plumbing)

Fire / Life safety, suppression systems (dry & wet pipe), Gaseous, Early Warning Fire Detection, Very -Early Warning Fire Detection (VESDA).

Environmental controls systems- BMS, DDC, Foreseer, Pneumatics.

Construction (painting, doors, locks, wall and ceiling)

Technical knowledge and understanding of mission critical systems, including HVAC, Standby emergency power, uninterruptable power supplies, computer room air conditioning/handling, associated infrastructure and the interdependency of these systems in delivering 100% Uptime.

Familiarity with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platforms.

Strong understanding of Mission Critical system operations, maintenance, engineering and design principles, practices, and procedures.

Ability to assess the status of the building and its infrastructure systems, diagnose and troubleshoot alarms, solve technical problems and deal with a variety of options in varying situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

Rotating on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year depending on the needs of the business (shift adjustments from time to time).

Desired Skills
Oversight of electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to: Universal Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, chillers, Electrical Distribution, HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) systems, and CMMS Work.

Perform daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.

Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures - ensuring all safety processes and PPE requirements are followed. Also, ensure all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met.

Escort vendors on site visits as required and ensure site standards are met.

Help build and develop work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical work with risk assessment. Ensure documents and logbooks are updated.

Required:
High School diploma or GED equivalent, technical training or degree.

Job Type: Full-time

Rotating Shift

12-hour shift

Work Location: In person

Preferred:
Operating Engineer or other applicable licenses and Universal CFC's licenses.

Certified Mission Critical Operator (CMCO) Certification.

3 (+) related work experience, in a technical, critical environment operation.
