Business Analyst

A Business Analyst (BA) plays a critical role in bridging the gap between IT and business stakeholders. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, business acumen, and excellent communication skills to ensure successful software delivery that aligns with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand business needs.

Requirement Analysis:

  • Analyze and translate business requirements into functional specifications for the development team.

  • Create detailed requirement documents, user stories, and use case diagrams.

Process Mapping:

  • Develop process flow diagrams and models to represent current and future states of business processes.

  • Identify gaps and propose solutions to improve business processes.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams.

  • Facilitate communication and ensure alignment between all parties.

Solution Design:

  • Assist in the design and evaluation of software solutions that meet business requirements.

  • Collaborate with developers and architects to ensure technical feasibility and optimal delivery.

Testing and Validation:

  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure software meets business requirements.

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating with end-users and resolving issues.

Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including requirement specifications, process flows, and user manuals.

  • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to stakeholders.

Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to end-users during and after software delivery.

  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions.

Project Management Support:

  • Assist project managers with project planning, scheduling, and risk management.

  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in software delivery projects.

    • Experience with requirement gathering, process mapping, and creating functional specifications.

  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.

    • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Basic understanding of software development and IT infrastructure.

    • Experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Monday. Com, JIRA).

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
