Zayo is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager, Inventory Inventory and Data Quality to be responsible for leading the development and delivery of our inventory platforms. This includes working with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design features, and implement solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software, software development, product management, big data management, and API integrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall software/systems responsibilities spans systems used for network inventory management, quality of data in those systems, and integrations with the network inventory systems into other systems.

  • Define and prioritize business requirements for internal software, 3rd party software and integration between systems in alignment with business goals.

  • Provide input on multiple roadmaps and ensure that they aligned with technical constraints.

  • Work with network automation teams, service delivery teams, and NOC teams to drive efficient workflows through automation.

  • Write engineering analysis and recommendations to stakeholders, then flipping the script and explaining product trade offs to engineers, all the while keeping scale and long term viability in mind with trade offs for faster execution.

  • Create technical specifications, scope, and capabilities with the software engineering, product and Salesforce administration to determine feasibility and creating a holistic technical view of how to bring a product or feature into the customer portal.

  • Determine metrics and measurements for new products, features, and data quality. Be hands on as needed with the data to demonstrate and define how these metrics are gathered in code.

  • Conduct research and identify new opportunities for efficiency and innovation for building customer services.

  • Gather feedback from internal stakeholders and external customers and sales to constantly improve customer deliverables, internal automation and customer facing automation.

  • Assist with development of testing and deployment plans.

Qualifications:

  • Computer Science (or similar) degree, a solid background in both software engineering and data engineering, and naturally gravitate towards driving efficiency through automation.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in software engineering, devops, or SRE.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of end to end product delivery experience in a technical product manager, lead technical role, or similar role.

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in inventory systems management, logistics management, or any physical infrastructure backed services.

  • Working proficiency in Python and SQL.

  • Experience working within large, complex data sets in multiple repositories.

  • Experience with product requirements gathering, design, and implementation creating software tooling and API.

  • Previous work with automating complex processes and systems integrations.

  • Experience with Atlassian and agile development methodologies.

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication.

  • Forward-thinking, anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur.

  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.

  • Self starter who can work autonomous and is also comfortable leading through influence.

  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively and work under pressure deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years in ML, data engineering or data science.

Base Salary Range: $105,000 - $150,000 USD/annually, commensurate with experience.
