Job Overview: The Tennessee Higher Education Commission and Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (THEC/TSAC) seeks a person to fill the position of Veterans Education Specialist. This position is a part of the Tennessee State Approving Agency (TN-SAA), which is under a Cooperative Agreement with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) to fulfil requirements for approving quality programs and schools to offer veterans education benefits to eligible veterans and their dependents. The TN-SAA is responsible for inspecting approved education and training institutions to ensure they maintain federal and state statutes, regulations, and rules to continue their approval for veterans' education benefits. Key Responsibilities:
