Warehouse Lead - 2nd Shift

Title: Warehouse Lead

Work Shift: 8hr-2nd Shift (3:00PM-11:30PM)

Roles and Responsibilities:

*Champions a safety culture, ensures a safe work environment, and promotes safe behavior

* Monitors environment and becomes aware of conditions that may affect employee safety and security; takes corrective action

* Communicates to ensure employees learn and comply with specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies

* Prepares training plans and conducts or assigns safety, maintenance, machine operation and quality assurance training to new employees

* Prepares documentation and provides performance feedback to introductory employees

* Provides feedback to plant leaders concerning employee performance and behavior

* Ensures employees have required tools, supplies and area to exercise their duties

Production:

* Analyzes charts, work orders, production schedules, and other data to drive production requirements

* Performs and/or assigns personnel to conduct audits, weights and quality checks

* Prepares and documents daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies and other

Maintenance:

* Loads and unloads trucks and secures product in accordance with customer requirements; inspects incoming materials.

Warehouse:

* Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.

* Determines method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment

Quality:

* Develops and implements quality related training programs for all employees

* Applies statistical tools and techniques to monitor plant performance and finished goods

* Performs in-process inspections of manufactured product during molding, packaging and loading

* Communicates quality issues and out of specifications conditions to plant leaders

* Completes laboratory testing and collects samples at established intervals

Other:

* Group Lead will have responsibility for two or more departments (i.e. Production, Warehouse, etc.). Lead will have

* Responsibility for one mid-to-large department or a limited number of shift employees.

* Other duties and roles maybe assigned by plant management

Minimum Requirements:

• Five plus years' experience in Warehouse/Shipping role.

• Five plus years' experience in distribution or manufacturing.

• One year experience in mentoring or as a lead.

• Computer literacy as everything is digital.

• Experience with ERP system, created spreadsheets, & charts for reports for shipping and handling.

• High School diploma.

Preferred Qualifications:Associate's degree or equivalent.
