West Subregion Financial Analyst

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team, reporting to the West Subregion Business Controller. This role directly supports the West Subregion business team by participating in strategic initiatives, driving productivity actions, and providing effective decision support. The successful candidate will have strong quantitative skills, business acumen, and a collaborative mindset. Proficiency in operational and cash flow project analysis and comfort navigating Air Products' financial systems and tools (or similar) will set you up for success.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct month-end close operational analysis for the Subregion business, including presenting results, identifying variances, and translating data into concise and actionable insights.

  • Develop and support monthly/quarterly financial forecasts, annual operating plans, and capital expenditure reports.

  • Partner with teams across Air Products to provide decision support for analyzing new and existing business opportunities.

  • Lead and analyze the Subregion's operating cash flow and balance sheet performance to provide actionable insights.

  • Deliver capital investment decision support using Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis, including Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Return on Investment (ROI) metrics.

  • Build partnerships with business and operations teams to drive strategy development, profitability improvement, and customer profitability measures.

  • Share best practices across teams to ensure continuous improvement in processes.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:
  • MBA or MS in Finance or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, technical, and/or quantitative roles.

  • Ability to explain advanced accounting concepts to a multi-functional audience clearly and effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems. Proficiency in SAP R3, Analysis for Excel, and BPC is preferred.

  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with data modeling and visualization tools is a plus.
