*You must currently reside in Boise, ID or be willing to relocate at this time.* We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Director to join our client's team, a creative agency in Boise, ID. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing client relationships, overseeing project execution, and ensuring financial success. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, strategic thinking, and financial acumen to maintain healthy client partnerships while safeguarding profitability. You will collaborate closely with creative and project management teams to deliver exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and nurturing senior-level relationships.
- Lead client campaigns and strategies, ensuring alignment with client objectives and expectations.
- Drive business growth by identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities within existing client accounts.
- Collaborate with agency leadership to identify and pursue new business prospects.
Financial Management
- Accurately forecast revenue, manage client billing, and ensure account profitability.
- Develop and oversee client budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Review all work to meet client expectations and financial goals.
- Negotiate and develop Statements of Work (SOWs) and contracts, adhering to financial terms.
Strategic Oversight
- Translate client visions into actionable business requirements and overall account strategies.
- Coordinate with internal resources to define deliverables and manage client expectations effectively.
- Anticipate and address potential client or revenue issues proactively.
- Provide strategic oversight to ensure effective project scoping and execution.
Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive experience in professional client relationship management.
- Background in advertising, design, or marketing is strongly preferred.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to plan and strategize at a senior level.
- Proficiency in developing and writing Statements of Work.
- Deep understanding of advertising production processes and media planning/selection.
- Excellent persuasive and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams in a client-service environment.
- A positive, solution-oriented approach and the ability to maintain a professional image.
- Exceptional communication skills, including active listening, clear writing, and the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong business management and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot problems, and make effective decisions.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in managing client accounts, advertising, and/or marketing campaigns.
