Digital Engineer

Key Role:

Creates, integrates, and applies interdisciplinary digital models of products from concept throughout the product lifecycle. Applies leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Works on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions. Operates with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentors or supervises employees in both firm and technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with DE and MBSE

  • Experience with DE and MBSE tools and processes to create and manage tailored MBSE artifacts that capture analysis and the resulting engineering decisions and trades made during acquisition and development

  • Experience with the system engineering life cycle, including requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment for major DoD systems

  • Experience conducting model-based performance simulations to determine the impact of requirements changes on system performance or behaviors

  • Experience with the practical application of System Modeling Language (SyML) and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)

  • Experience with MagicDraw, Cameo, Teamcenter, DOORS, MATLAB, and Simulink

  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, dynamic team environment, including internal staff, external contractors, and government clients to increase the use of DE and MBSE for client acquisition programs

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of using system models during government engineering reviews

  • Knowledge of other system engineering disciplines, including configuration management, risk management, cybersecurity, and cyber certification processes

  • Knowledge of Agile Project Management

  • Ability to plan and deliver capability demonstrations in an Agile cadence

  • Ability to produce solutions independently or with a team

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Master's degree in an Engineering, Science, or Mathematics field

  • OCSMP Fundamental Certification

  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
