Overview

TRC creates and implements sophisticated and innovative solutions to the challenges facing America-s energy markets and infrastructure.TRC is seeking a Trade Ally Outreach Manager to join our team located in Portland, OR.We are looking for an outgoing and technically skilled candidate with electric and natural gas energy systems (HVAC, water heating, refrigeration, motors, etc.) experience to support a commercial energy efficiency focused program throughout the state of Oregon and SW Washington. This person should be able to effectively communicate commercial energy efficiency focused program offerings and help contractors navigate the project application process. The position will lead a team of trade ally outreach staff focused on the adoption of energy efficient technologies, correct use of those technologies, and participation in client-sponsored incentive programswith special priority on minority, women-owned, and emerging small business firms with limited experience working with efficiency programs.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

The position entails the following responsibilities:

1. Trade Ally Team management - 50%
* Lead team of trade ally coordinators and trade ally support staff (up to 8)
* Recruit, train, and coach all trade ally coordinators and administrative staff, for Existing Buildings Program

2. Collaboration & organization - 30%
* Plan contractor engagement strategy for a large group of over 500 enrolled contractors spanning many trades and locations
* Plan and host contractor forums two times a year with multiple sessions on an annual basis to deliver efficiency program updates
* Plan and host regional quarterly roundtable events for TA appreciation and feedback; Minimum 5 per year
* Actively engage appropriate trade groups and associations in events and program promotions; Minimum 4 events per year
* Plan and create relevant content for Insider newsletter on bi-monthly cadence
* Oversee recruitment of TA for CDP program and responsible for reporting on program participation progress and project initiation from participants

3. System Processes - data management & reporting - 10%
* Develop, create, maintain and refine data tracking systems and reporting analyses
* Report on team and program goals monthly, quarterly and annually

4. Program Design, Implementation & Continuous Improvement - 10%
* Create and educate on protocols to help Trade Allies and customers adhere to energy efficiency program requirements
* Oversee contractor recruitment, engagement plans, mentoring, and training to contractors with a focus on minority- and women-owned, and emerging firms with limited experienceworking with efficiency programs
* Create & implement of CE courses for TAs (quarterly delivery)


Qualifications

Qualifications

We are looking for a person with a wide range of skills including the ability to build and maintain lasting industry relationships and who has a deep technical understanding of energy savings technologies. Ideal candidates will have most of the following skills and experience:
* Associates/BS/BA degree is preferred, but not required
* 5+ years proven experience in working in the sales, account management, sales project management and/or with utilities or energy contracting firms
* Technical and working knowledge in commercial lighting, mechanical, utility systems, energy efficiency programs, and/or building systems or the capacity to learn these
* Knowledge and familiarity of energy efficiency measures,sustainable building practices, and technologiesand experience with utility programs
* Proven experience leading and managing diverse teams towards achieving a common goal
* Superior organization, communications and interpersonal skills required
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, and experience conversing with commercial contractors
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and the ability to learn and operate TRC/client designed customer relationships management (CRM) systems
* A self-starter with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
* Previous experience conducting and/or supporting webinars or in-person trainings with a focus on energy savings technologies
* Knowledge of local laws and relevant building and energy conservation codes
* Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus, but not required

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
