We are currently seeking a full-time Valve Technician for 1st shift at our Ketema facility in El Cajon, CA.

What Does the Job Involve?

The Valve Technician specializes in assembling and testing cryogenic valves used to launch satellites into Space.

What will my responsibilities include?



  • Under minimum supervision, assembles and tests cryogenic valves. Performs these tests using Helium and Liquid Nitrogen. Able to troubleshoot when a leak arises during pre-test. Constructs complex part assemblies of 50+ subcomponents. Follows assembly work instructions (AIS) sequences.
  • Performs calculations and operates a variety of equipment to produce parts to close tolerances.
  • Checks own work for conformance to specifications. Inspects own work to ensure compliance with B/P and specification.
  • Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.
  • Works from verbal orders, blueprints, sketches, handbooks, etc. to determine the dimensions, finish, and clearances required.
  • Training requirements SAK-0951 and SAK-0941 upon hire.

Education:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent.


Experience:



  • 3-5 years in Aerospace assembly.
