Job Summary

Are you a motivated, outcome-focused professional searching for an outstanding opportunity to lead in the vibrant heart of New York, NY? Compass Group USA- FLIK Rapport is in need of a Director of Private Events Catering and Sales who can deliver exceptional client experiences and drive revenue growth. Join our world-class team and contribute significantly to the development of our event business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Private Events Management:
- Serve as the primary contact for private events, building strong client relationships and exceeding expectations.
- Conduct engaging property tours, showcasing remarkable offerings and tailoring solutions to client needs.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic sales initiatives.

SALES & REVENUE GROWTH:
- Develop and enhance sales strategies to improve revenue from private events, surpassing ambitious targets.
- Prepare sales forecasts and reports, analyzing market trends for improvement.
- Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in the local event planning community.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE:
- Coordinate all operational aspects, including event planning, logistics, and on-site execution.
- Coordinate with internal departments to deliver flawless event experiences.
- Uphold the highest level of service excellence in a well-maintained environment.

TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of event professionals.
- Train team members to deliver outstanding service.
- Empower team members to contribute to departmental success.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:
- Manage financial aspects, including budgeting, invoicing, and contract negotiations.
- Improve event profitability, optimizing costs and enhancing revenue.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

GUEST EXPERIENCE:
- Build unforgettable event experiences, personalizing each event for clients.
- Gather and analyze client feedback to improve guest experiences continuously.

QUALITY ASSURANCE:
- Ensure a strong emphasis on quality and compliance in all areas of our operations.
- Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct audits and inspections to address potential issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Event Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in conference services or private event planning within luxury hospitality.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proven sales and negotiation skills.
- Strong financial competence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and event planning tools.
- Passion for hospitality and crafting unforgettable experiences.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
