Info Technology Engineer I

Job Description

As an Engineer I, you will assist in the documentation and basic configuration of network systems. You will work under the guidance of more experienced engineers to learn and develop your skills in network engineering. Your primary responsibilities will include gathering performance metrics, assisting in minor configuration changes, and supporting the implementation of network solutions.

Essential Functions

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Assist in configuring and managing network tools, including cloud, wireless, remote access, and secure technologies, while learning relevant principles.
  • Gather, document, and analyze network performance metrics and usage patterns to support network optimization.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and vendor management processes, gaining knowledge of best practices and principles.
  • Support access control, load balancing, and DDI configurations, while learning about their respective principles.
  • Document network configurations and processes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Participate in maintenance windows and assist in other enterprise projects.
