JOB SUMMARY:

The Medical Technician is responsible for providing services for on-site clinic health units or events for Acuity Commercial and Government contracts for rapid deployments to support emergency and disaster efforts. This is a temporary position and length of assignment may vary based on operational needs and client requirements. This position reports to the designated Site Lead at the on-site clinic health unit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides services at the scope and level of a Medical Technologistto preserve the health of employees and client personnel.

Duties include but are not limited to ability to administer the following testing:

1. Pulmonary Function Test

2. Basic Audiogram

3. Blood Draw/ Processing

4. Vision Testing (corrected and uncorrected) - Near, Far, Depth, Peripheral and Color.

5. Perform Blood Pressure, pulse, height, weight, distant and near vision screening

6. Assist with lab draws by completing lab requisitions and any necessary paperwork

7. Perform EKGs

8. Perform AED if necessary

9. May be required to perform administrative tasks - i.e. Check In / Out of Examinees or Chart QA

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical field preferred.

Must have current clinical experience in direct patient care

Have and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS Card) (preferred)

Provide detailed notes pertinent in assisting the Medical Reviewing Officer in making final determination for Fit for Duty.

Must have a current unrestricted state license as required by provider type

PHYSICAL AND WORK CONDITIONS:

Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and high paced environment without physical limitations.

Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements.

May be on their feet for prolonged periods of time.

Work environment typically in very remote areas.

Will report to Site Lead and clinically supervised by Medical Lead.

Must be able to work in a team dynamic and contribute positively to the overall morale of the team.
