Job Summary
Leads and coordinates all work associated with clinical placements, internships, student teaching and school partnerships.
Job Description
1. Communicates with candidates/students, university supervisors, cooperative teachers and faculty associated with field experience policies and procedures
2. Secures field sites and monitors placements of candidates/students for all clinical experiences required by the Illinois State Board of Education as well as field experience associated with coursework
3. Places candidates in clinical sites
4. Ensures that all candidates comply with pre-clinical/clinical requirements (including tuberculosis screening, background checks, and any other requirements)
5. Ensure that candidates are placed in diverse settings and maintain a database of placements for each student
6. Tracks and evaluates candidates' progress at clinical sites and reports on clock hours that candidates complete at field sites each semester
7. Act as liaison between COE faculty/students and staff at placement sites on matters pertaining to curriculum, conflict resolution, and dispositions, etc.
8. Collects and submits documentation to validate field experiences in clinical settings
9. Visits school sites to establish, maintain and develop mutually beneficial and innovative partnerships with P-12 schools and that are aligned with compliance requirements
10. Develops and conducts orientation and training for university supervisors, student teachers, and cooperating teachers
11. Recruit, develop, supervise, and evaluate university supervisors
12. Collaborate with EdTPA Coordinator
13. Develop and maintain handbooks, policy manuals, memoranda of understanding, partnership agreements, and other documents related to field experience
14. Communicate and collaborate with compliance officer
15. Collect, preserve, and analyze data for accreditation and state reports
16. Organizes data for meaningful analysis
17. Manage correspondence for the Office of Field Experience
18. Assists in preparation, publishing, and dissemination of the Student Teacher Handbook
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree.

2. A total of one (1) year (12 months) in education, training and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position.

3.Minimum 1 year demonstrated professional experience working with the Illinois State Board of Education policies and requirement for teacher education.

4. Based on position requirements, additional education, training and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position, may be required.

*Note: Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1 year) of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Education
3 or more years demonstrated experience in similar professional role

1. Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction
for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
2. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource
allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and
coordination of people and resources.
3. Skill in analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
4. Skill in scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.
5. Skill in oral and written communication.
6. Ability to adjust actions in relation to others' actions.

sentences.
