IT Operations SAFe Certified Release Train Engineer (RTE)

Job Summary: The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART). The RTE's primary responsibilities are to facilitate ART events and processes and assist teams in delivering value. They communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement. They will provide planning, coordination, reporting, and oversight for operations staff in the following areas:

* Service Desk and Incident Management

* Data Center Operations

* Network Operations

* Application Managed Services

* Asset Management Processes and Quality

* Change Management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate PI (Program Increment) Planning, ART Sync, and other ART events.
  • Assist in tracking the execution of features and capabilities.
  • Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings, including the ART sync at the Program Level.
  • Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary.
  • Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets.
  • Escalate and track impediments.
  • Foster continuous improvement by providing input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks.
  • Encourage collaboration between teams and system-level stakeholders.
  • Work with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution alignment.
  • Improve the flow of value through value streams using the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps.
  • Facilitate System Demos and Solution Demos.

Qualifications:

  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other Agile project management tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification.
  • Experience in a scaled Agile environment.
  • Proven track record of leading Agile teams and managing large-scale projects.
