Student Engineering Intern : Structural

Description

EUA will be filling a number of internship positions in its offices during this summer. These positions would be full-time during the summer months, approximately mid-May or early June through mid-August or early September. Our interns will be working primarily in our market-focused studios. You will also gain exposure to other components of the firm and form connections through group projects and educational opportunities. We are looking forward to providing a meaningful experience for all!

A good candidate for this position is a current student of Engineering. This position works under close supervision and receives specific and detailed instruction as to required tasks and results expected.



  • Assistance in Project Work, which may include:

    • Measuring Existing Project Sites and Buildings
    • Creating/modifying project Revit Models as directed
    • Analysis of building/project requirements
    • Analysis and design of structural components (beams, columns, braces, walls, foundations, etc.) using various structural materials (steel, concrete, wood, CMU)
    • Performing structural observation site visits during construction and writing follow-up site visit reports
    • Review structural submittals and shop drawings during construction
    • Additional responsibilities as required






    • A current student of Engineering, typically in their Junior year of undergrad or beyond
    • Revit experience is a plus
    • This is an hourly position; hours may vary from week to week, but expect 30-40 hours/week
    • Hourly compensation for this role is $18.00-$22.00 based on experience
