Department Overview

Power Generation operates and maintains PG&E's hydroelectric, fossil, solar generation and battery storage facilities, providing approximately 5,300 megawatts of generating capacity for our customers. Our nearly 1000 coworkers are dedicated to delivering safe, reliable and cost-effective generation to California in an environmentally responsible manner. Our hydro facilities include 62 conventional hydro powerhouses, a pumped-storage facility, 98 reservoirs, 168 dams and morethan 200 miles of canals and flumes, among other water conveyances. Natural gas-fired plants in operation are Humboldt Bay Generating Station in Eureka; Colusa Generating Station in Colusa County and Gateway Generating Station in Antioch. Several utility-scale solar generation plants also are operated and maintained, as well as PG&E's successful entry into battery energy storage, our Elkhorn Battery facility at Moss Landing in Monterey County.

Position Summary

Provides administrative support for department staff, management, or group.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of thejob posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity.Although we estimatethe successful candidate hiredinto this rolewill be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decisionwill be made on a case-by-casebasis related tothese factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

California Minimum: $55,000

California Maximum: $82,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Assists in the on-boarding process for new-hires or transferring employees. May do additional HR processing as requested by supervisor using internal company applications.
  • Partners with administrative team to ensure completion of job responsibilities.
  • Performs diverse clerical or technical tasks requiring judgment and initiative, for example: Preparing moderately complex forms, reports, records, and/ or reference data using established formats.
  • Performs tasks in the payroll system to process time cards and troubleshoots inaccuracies or errors.
  • Prepares invoices, purchase orders and/or expense reports as required
  • Provides back-up administrative/clerical support for other groups.
  • Updates documents, route incoming correspondence, maintains filing system.
  • Assists with written and verbal communications. Manages phones. Accurately takes messages and communicates to manager/supervisor and/or team members.
  • Composes routine correspondence. Compiles data for reports. Researches and answers technical inquiries.
  • Coordinates and/or performs projects.
  • Coordinates room scheduling, meeting preparations (making copies, etc.), ordering catering and making travel arrangements.
  • Enters and maintains data into standard systems or into spreadsheets.
  • Makes recommendations to administrative process improvements and practices.
  • Manages/coordinates/tracks training requirements for work group.
  • Orders and maintains an inventory of items required. Orders new equipment or schedules service/maintenance

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
  • Administrative experience, 1 year

Desired:

  • Expertise in using SAP
  • Experience with PG&E's payroll system to process time cards
  • Experience with Ariba for preparing invoices, purchase orders and/or expense reports
  • Experience with on-boarding process for new-hires or transferring employees
  • Is familiar with PG&E CRESS operations and coordination
