About Tolmar Validation

The Quality Assurance Validation department assists with ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of our products, while also managing guidelines established by the FDA and global regulatory bodies. Pharmaceutical validation is an important aspect of quality assurance. We provide documented evidence that Tolmar's systems, facilities and processes perform their intended functions according to established specifications.

Proposed Work Description

The intern will be supporting the Quality Assurance Validation team. With coaching and direction from the team, specific activities could include, but are not limited to:



  • Data entry and analysis in excel for: steam sterilization cycles thermal data and manufacturing-process data.


  • Support computerized systems/software systems and Computerized Software Assurance (CSA) Program while learning the basics of regulatory requirements and industry expectation.


  • Identify opportunities to improve company policies, procedures and facilitate recommendations.


  • Learn and support analytical instruments, Lab systems and process automation systems.


  • Learning Computer-aided design (CAD) or using CAD knowledge to generate/revise process flow diagrams


  • Review validation final report packages.


  • Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



  • Proficient computer skills with demonstrated knowledge in key Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project).


  • Effective organization and attention to detail.


  • Willingness to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule, with some flexibility.


  • Effective oral and written communication.


  • Ability to interact collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.


  • Ability to work independently


  • Familiarity with Software systems and understanding is a plus but not required.


  • CAD experience a plus but not required.

Education & Experience



  • Majoring in an engineering discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical and Computer Engineering) or closely related discipline.
  • CAD experience a plus.


Working Conditions



  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment but could include cleanroom or production floor work.
  • Dress is casual but business or business-casual dress may be required on occasion.


    Compensation and Benefits



    • Pay: $19.00 per hour
    • Benefits include medical insurance and participation in the 401k plan
