Columbia University in the City of New York: Columbia University Irving Medical Center: Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons: Neurology Location 02 Open Date Nov 13, 2024 Salary Range or Pay Grade 78,155- 95,000 Description The Sands laboratory is seeking a PhD research scientist for the study of genetic mechanisms of epilepsy and neurodevelopmental disability. Our group uses genetic mouse models and human cellular models to understand the molecular and physiological basis of disease. The lab is translationally focused with the development of novel targeted treatments of these diseases as one of its major goals. Competitive applicants will have completed their PhD and published one or more rst author research articles in leading journals. We seek applicants whoe are especially motivated to take advantage of thier careers by combining expertise in neuroanatomy, imaging, or electrophysiology with genetic analysis and disease modeling. The Sands lab exists within a collaborative Center for Translational Research in Neurodevelopmental Disease (CTRND). Qualifications Requirements: Candidates should have their PhD in a relevant eld and have at least 4 years of postdoctoral experience.
