Coordinate instructional support activities at the Veterinary Medicine Teaching and Research Center (VMTRC); process monthly accounts receivable client invoices, handle accounts payable activities, process travel and entertainment reimbursement reports, and actively provide support in numerous and varied administrative responsibilities. Process student hires for faculty research projects. Assist with visa processing requests for international students and scholars. Assist department by backing up co-workers and helping with projects as needed. Incumbent provides assistance to the Director, Principal Investigators, Clinicians, as well as to research and administrative staff. Department Overview Incumbent works in an independent matter, provides assistance to the Director, Administrative Manager, Principal Investigators, Clinicians, as well as to research and administrative staff. The VMTRC is an integral part of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and is a leading educational and research organization for dairy production medicine and herd health. The location in Tulare County with operations and clinical activities extending into the surrounding counties provides the School with access to an abundant number of large commercial livestock operations featuring large herd sizes as well as milk and beef processing facilities. The VMTRC consists of 147 acres, 77,000 square feet of existing laboratory, classroom, office & clinical space, agricultural structures, and animal facilities. POSITION INFORMATION
