Union Building Technician 1st shift (7:00am - 3:00pm) What this job involves: As a Building Technician at JLL, you'll be responsible for the ongoing preventive maintenance and repair of facility systems and equipment. You'll work on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems, ensuring optimal performance and addressing client needs. This role requires a blend of technical skills, safety awareness, and customer service orientation. Your day-to-day tasks will include: Performing preventive maintenance and repairs on various facility systems and equipment Conducting facility inspections and reporting on conditions affecting client operations Carrying out general interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures and repairing office furniture Assisting the operations team with building and equipment maintenance Moving office furniture, machinery, and equipment as needed Replacing lighting and ballasts Maintaining HVAC systems, including cleaning coils and changing filters and belts Completing hazard assessments and adhering to safety procedures Utilizing CMMS systems like 360 Facility to track and update work orders Desired experience and technical skills: Requirements: Minimum five (5) years of recent experience in facility systems operation and maintenance Valid state driver's license Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Knowledge of safety procedures and hazardous materials handling Ability to use CMMS systems for work order management Preferred: Experience with office furniture systems repair Familiarity with HVAC maintenance procedures Knowledge of state and local building codes and ordinances Strong problem solving and communication skills | |
