Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Service Technician to join our security business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provide the break fix repairs and troubleshooting of fire alarm and life safety systems equipment to comply with NFPA72 standards as well as state and local codes
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
  • Communicate with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site
  • Interact professionally with customers
  • Follow and maintain structured inspection schedules
  • Communicate system status, changes or problems to supervisor or manager
  • Work overtime when needed
  • Effectively use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Visio
  • Read blueprints and schematics
  • Lift equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to see, hear, speak, read, and write clearly to communicate with employees or other clients
  • Manual dexterity required for reaching, climbing ladders, lifting objects, operating office equipment and hand-held power tools
  • Interact and communicate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Complete required training and certifications within the time requirements for this role
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment


Basic Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years of direct fire alarm industry work experience across multiple fire alarm system manufacturers
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Manufacturer certifications preferred (ex. Siemens, Notifier, Honeywell, Bosch)
  • NICET II or equivalent
