We are currently hiring a Senior Facilities & Maintenance Manager.

This position will report to: Lab General Manager

The Sr. Facility & Maintenance Manager will plan, direct, coordinate and oversee maintenance for the building, grounds and equipment. In addition to overseeing all maintenance activities within a production facility, ensuring equipment is properly maintained to minimize downtime, optimize production efficiency, and meet quality standards by planning, scheduling, and coordinating repairs, preventative maintenance, and upgrades while managing a team of maintenance technicians and adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities:



  • This position will report to the site General Manager and provide formal management for the facility and maintenance employees. Track the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new maintenance employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities and performance. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage site building repairs and production equipment maintenance repairs by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain positive client vendor relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
  • Prepare and manage large and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports. Oversees purchasing, inventory, and delivery of necessary equipment parts.
  • Perform building and grounds inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Work with the Environment Health and Safety Team (EH&S) to create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
  • Develop vendor relationships and oversee invoicing procedures. Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity for the facility and production environment.
  • Understand and recognize the broader maintenance impact across all production departments and manufacturing equipment.
  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline. Provide daily updates to the site General Manager.
  • Must be willing and able to work in the evening and weekends as needed to ensure facility and equipment are in operation at optimum levels.
  • Travel as needed to manufacturing locations within the Hoya network to benchmark and provide support to the maintenance organization.
