Community Relations Support Representative - Part Time

We are currently seeking motivated candidates for a part time Community Relations Support Representative with our Corporate Social Responsibility Team, located at our Home Office in Auburn Hills.

Position Purpose:

Provides support to the Director of Social Responsibility and Corporate Social Responsibility personnel as necessary. Play a vital role in building and strengthening relationships with Genisys employees and our community partners, fostering positive brand awareness, and supporting our outreach efforts. Projects and maintains the Credit Union's professional image.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of community events, including fundraisers, workshops, volunteer activities, and public forums, by collaborating closely with Director, Social Responsibility and CSR team members.
• Contribute to building effective relationships with organizations, businesses, and community members.
• Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of community relations efforts and identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in the creation and distribution of communication materials such as press releases, newsletters, social media posts, and website content to keep the staff and community informed about the organization's activities, initiatives, and achievements.
• Assist with recruiting, training, and coordinating staff volunteers to assist with community events, projects, and initiatives, maximizing community involvement and support.
• Maintains event inventory and storage area for Corporate Social Responsibility department. Coordinates distribution of event inventory and specialty items to branches and other community partners as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Good working knowledge of the following: Google suite and Adobe.
• Good working knowledge of Social Media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• .Associate's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or Public Relations or equivalent experience preferred.

• Excellent organizational skills and analytical abilities.
• Attentive to detail.
