General Equipment Operator - $21.50 per hour

1st shift, weekends - Work 36 hours and get paid for 48 hours!

Wis-Pak Inc., a leader in the manufacturing and distribution of Pepsi-Cola, Mountain Dew, Klarbrunn, Bubbl'r and other leading beverages, is currently accepting applications for a full-time General Equipment Operator at it's Watertown, WI facility.

Hours are on first shift, weekends. Specifically, 5:30 am to 6:00 pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Job Duties/Essential Functions:

  • Operate a doublewide pallet-handling forklift truck to load and unload semi-trucks. Monitor the quality of all products or raw materials being shipped or received. Report any inconsistencies in the quality of materials shipped or received to management.
  • Transport materials within the warehouse; stack and unstack materials; sort, remove and replace damaged product; accurately complete required paperwork and documentation; sort empty pallets and shells.
  • Remove finished product from palletizers and transport to storage. Follow standardized safety procedures and perform work in a safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Operate stretch-wrap and layer-pick machines, as required.
  • Drive and position (spot) semi-trucks, when necessary. Change forklift batteries and/or fill batteries with water, as needed.
  • Comply with all plant and food safety, HACCP, GMP, and sanitation regulations.
  • Sweep, mop and clean warehouse as directed. Operate a floor scrubber as directed.
  • Hand-stack and sort product when needed. Bail recyclable materials when required.
  • Requires ability to work overtime when needed, up to 64 hours per week.
  • Move and position/spot semi-trucks as needed.
  • Work in production area as needed.
  • Paint and repair as needed.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, use foot and hand controls repetitively, and rotate head from side to side and up and down frequently.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Requires ability to communicate with management and other employees. Must possess legible handwriting skills. Must be able to work under a minimum of supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS

Requires education as normally acquired in high school or equivalent with coursework in Basic English and mathematics. Requires ability to complete Forklift Operator's training course and successfully pass test to obtain a Forklift Operator's license. Previous experience with a forklift truck is helpful, but not necessary.
