Overview

One of our Houston healthcare clients is significantly expanding their business and needs to hire an IT Director to support this growth. The company currently owns 40+ healthcare facilities across Texas. The company grows through M&A activities and will continue to add more facilities to their business portfolio.

The IT Director will be a member of the leadership team and will be responsible for working with executives and key business stakeholders to develop and implement an effective enterprise IT strategy and roadmap to support both current and future business operations. This position will also be responsible for managing current and developing new strategic business partnership with third-party service providers.

This position requires experience providing IT services to the healthcare industry. The company currently has 500+ healthcare providers, 1,200+ staff, and approximately 400 patient support, facility management, and corporate support staff. Critical area of experience include:
  • EMR/EHR systems
  • Cyber security in a healthcare environment
  • Enterprise infrastructure for multi-facility connectivity
  • Managed services provider (MSP) partnerships
  • Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) due diligence and acquired company transition/onboarding

Skills and Experience
  • 15+ years IT industry experience with 5+ years of IT senior leadership experience in the healthcare industry
  • In-depth understanding of enterprise EMR/EHR systems including implementation, optimization, and support
  • Detailed understanding of cyber security technologies and the design and implementation of effective cyber security strategies and best practices specific to the healthcare industry
  • Detailed understanding of enterprise infrastructure requirements needed to support a distributed network of healthcare facilities
  • Demonstrated experience supporting all IT related processes associated with M&A activities
  • Demonstrated experience with third-party service provider management

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
