About This Role
K-State invites applications for the Information Technology Director position, which supports IT needs in the College of Arts & Sciences. Reporting directly to IT and embedded in the college, the IT director will work collaboratively with college administration and faculty and with central IT to shape and staff an IT structure for the college that fully supports teaching, research and service across all departments served. From deskside IT support to hardware, network and software administration to ensuring cybersecurity, the IT director will be expected to deliver IT strategy and excellence and to ensure a cohesive approach that serves the disparate IT needs of the college. The director will provide strategic IT leadership for the college and its departments and serve as a critical thought partner and leader as the university works to transform the organizational IT infrastructure in support of the Next-Gen K-State strategic plan. This position is part of an initiative to transform how we strategically manage, support, and organize our IT infrastructure and services by aligning IT as a strategic partner to all academic and administrative units. By being embedded within the College of Arts & Sciences, the IT Director serves as a liaison with between college and IT staff and collaboratively develops and implements IT plans that align with the college's strategic goals.
