About this opportunity:
As a Solder Repair Technician, you will provide the solder repairing product for the EFA 5G Smart Factory. The Solder Repair function is to support volume production and NPI activities. You will also be driving continuous improvement in your area, ensuring all KPIs are achieved. In addition, you will collaborate with Electronic Technicians, quality inspectors, and leadership daily for coordination of product flow. You will be responsible for product repair and solder repair with the objective to minimize backlog and maintain priorities and coordination with fellow solder repair personnel.
What you will do:
* Repair product failures identified by troubleshooters and inspectors
* Soldering with various types of IC packages such as BGA, QFN, QFP, SOIC, SOT
* Ability to operate X-ray machines to identify solder issues and verify repair
* Repair/replace BGA and Non-BGA micro-electronic components using automated and hand soldering equipment
* Remove residue from chips with flux and clean printed circuit board assembly
* Handle through-hole soldering, electronic devices, sockets, and various types of SMT components
* Take care of re-flow of solder paste, bridging, probe marks, and other similar surface conditions in solder joints
* Knowledge of electronic circuits, schematic diagrams, and layout to trace components in order to perform repairs on PCBA's
* Contribute to the overall success of the Repair Department team goals and meet volume production needs
* Meet yearly individual goals and KPI's
* Support all products troubleshoot and repair efficiencies and key performance indicators (KPIs)
The skills you bring:
* High school diploma: technical school preferred with minimum 1-3 years soldering experience in a manufacturing/production environment
* Knowledge of IPC-A-610/IPC-J-STD-001 standards, preferred certified
* Mid-level experience of manual soldering methods such as direct contact soldering, and soldering using hot air
* High power microscope experience required
* Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
* Self-motivator, committed to providing high-quality work
* Ability to work extended or flexible hours when required
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Possess strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
* Knowledge with SW tools such as Microsoft Excel and Word
