Data & Reporting Analyst (Sepulveda Finance & Accounting) This is a remote position. The pay range for this position is between $71,500 - $82,220 annually. You have the option to elect to a 9/80 flex work schedule after the first six months of employment. Summary As a Data and Reporting Analyst, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of data warehouses and internal data sources to develop compelling visualizations and detailed dashboard elements, KPIs, reports, and other deliverables using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and Microsoft Power BI. You will also provide technical support to the Corporate Reporting team and collaborate with the Analytics Engineer to analyze and design processes for reporting systems, ensuring accurate and impactful data insights. Primary Duties
- Work with dashboarding tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar to create and maintain interactive visualizations and reports for internal teams. The candidate should also have experience in identifying KPI's used to monitor business health and convey data insights at-a-glance.
- Write efficient SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from relational databases.
- Support quality improvement projects and initiatives through regular and ad-hoc data extracts, reporting, and analytics.
- Assist in designing and maintaining relational database structures, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of data flows.
- Clean, preprocess, and validate raw data provided by various third parties to ensure it's ready for analysis.
- Collaborate across multiple departments (e.g. IT, Clinical Operations, etc.) to understand business needs, analyze complex data, provide advanced data analysis and reporting, and clearly communicate recommendations.
- Document SQL queries, dashboards, and data processes for future reference and knowledge sharing. The proper candidate should be able create documentation that can be referenced and understood by individuals of varying technical levels.
Position Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred.
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and 1-2 years of experience with use of data warehousing tools.
- Documented experience using Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, or other enterprise-level databases and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring).
- Strong project management, organization, verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and meet required deadlines.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences clearly.
- Ability to adapt to changing needs by acquiring new skills and knowledge.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a face-paced environment with changing priorities by being flexible, collaborative, responsive, and adaptable.
