Job Overview:

The Roving Supervisor Program is designed as a highly efficient methodology of providing enhanced field-level security account supervision. The program adds valuable (noticeable, impactful) on-site supervision of DPC's on-duty Security Officer force, by providing additional supervisors (above contract specifications) who are trained and able to rove across account sites and shifts. These Roving Supervisors perform the full spectrum of supervisory duties; having the requisite supervisory training and empowered with supervisory authority. The Roving Supervisors will be in direct support of the Account managers and report to the Branch Manager. They will also serve as an extension of senior management as added eyes and ears out in the field. While performing highly traditional supervisory duties, these Roving Supervisors will additionally perform and conduct duties as Field Training Officers (conducting on-site OJT and refresher training) and as Quality Assurance inspectors.
Roving Supervisor will be fully trained to meet the standards of all accounts in the area such that in emergency situations they can be directed to stand post (TAS or Emergency Services request) or to prevent an open post. As a Security Officer Roving Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of our organization's premises and personnel. This position requires a proactive and vigilant individual with strong leadership skills to oversee and coordinate the activities of security officers during their patrols. The Roving Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining a high level of security awareness, responding to incidents, and implementing security protocols effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and assist a team of security officers during roving patrols, ensuring adherence to assigned schedules and duties.

Coordinate with on-site security personnel to verify coverage and response capabilities.

Conduct spot checks during their shift on officers

Training and Development:

Conduct regular spot training sessions for security officers to enhance their skills, knowledge, and awareness.

Provide guidance on proper security procedures, emergency response, and use of security equipment.

Incident Response:

Respond promptly and decisively to security incidents, ensuring proper documentation and reporting procedures are followed.

Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency services, and internal stakeholders when necessary.

Security Assessment:

Conduct regular assessments of security risks and vulnerabilities during patrols.

Implement corrective actions and recommend improvements to enhance overall security measures.

Communication:

Maintain clear and open communication with security personnel, management, and other relevant stakeholders.

Report incidents, updates, and observations in a timely and accurate manner.

Equipment and Technology:

Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of security equipment, such as surveillance cameras, communication devices, and access control systems.

Policy Enforcement:

Enforce security policies and procedures consistently across all areas of responsibility.

Address non-compliance issues promptly and appropriately.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in security operations, with a minimum of 2 in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Familiarity with security technology and equipment.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to respond to security incidents effectively.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Certifications:

  • Valid security license/certification as required by local regulations.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
