About the Job

The primary function of this virtual internship is to increase dissemination and use of evidence-based information and resources regarding adolescent sexual health.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collect and manage county, state and national statistics related to adolescent sexual health
  • Revise fact sheets and resource materials to include current statistics on adolescent sexual health
  • Create web-based and print resources for dissemination
  • Coordinate resource dissemination on the CHYD website
  • Utilize data visualization platform to access, analyze and publish data
  • Assist Director of Training and Education with evaluation and assessment activities, including data workshops and presentations

Dates and Hours:

  • February - June 2025
  • 5-10 hours per week

Qualifications

All required qualifications must be included in the application materials

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Current graduate student in public health
  • Experience managing and manipulating statistics in Excel and Google Sheets, creating fact sheets and presentations in PowerPoint and/or Google Slides
  • Excellent attention to detail, and ability to summarize and communicate findings to multiple stakeholders
  • Self-directed with strong organizational and writing skills
  • Interest in adolescent sexual health
  • Supportive of the CHYD's mission and vision
About the Department

The University of Minnesota Center for Healthy Youth Development (CHYD) collaborates with state and local organizations to conduct research, disseminate findings, and provide training on best practices in promoting health equity and healthy youth development. Related to this mission, the CHYD aims to increase partners' capacities to provide high quality sexual health programming through dissemination of adolescent sexual health data and fact sheets.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $18.75 per hour depending on education/qualifications/experience.
