JOB MISSION:

Under supervision of the Sr. Reginal Facilities Manager, Corporate Servies, ensures the daily operation of the mailroom and provides general mail services to all departments within the facility. Assists with the oversight of the Lawrence Mail Center.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for all general duties of Lawrence Mailroom, including, but not limited to:
    • Opening the department for service each morning
    • Delivery of all mail and packages to each Lawrence department
    • Excellent customer service with our internal customers; troubleshooting any challenges with quick, efficient action
    • Security of the department's physical area
    • Driving to the Post Office daily to pick up mail delivery of mail and packages to the Distribution Center each day
  • Train new coordinators in all aspects Mailroom operations.
  • Administer the International sample deconsolidation/consolidation/delivery operation which involves both the Lawrence and Boston locations. Ensure efficiency possibilities are reviewed and engaged to reduce critical turnaround times for our internal customers.
  • Schedule daily work for the team, according to the priorities of the day. Consult with the Sr. Reginal Facilities Manager about any significant changes that might affect the department.
  • Work with team to compile key performance indicators for the team's operations. Using these data points, a monthly report will be provided to the Sr. Reginal Facilities Manager.
  • Act as the main liaison with our DHL, UPS, Fedex, and USPS representatives to ensure efficient corrective action when challenges arise.
  • Assists the Boston Mailroom as needed; may include sending Lawrence Mailroom associates to cover absences or projects.
  • Maintain company vehicles, ensuring that they are clean and in good working order. Ensures all vehicle inspection stickers are up to date.
  • Operate Quadient "Neopost" mailing equipment. Ensure the mail meter has enough funds to pay for all mail sent from the Lawrence Mail Center. Create monthly meter usage report for the Finance Department.
  • Orders and distributes copy paper, envelopes, and letterhead for all Lawrence departments. Monitors general mailroom supplies with vendors, and creates purchase orders as needed.
  • Ability to use the Ariba Purchasing system for the team's needs.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Five years previous mailroom experience required.
  • Ability to lift packages up to 70 pounds.
  • Computer skills required including Microsoft Office and e-mail.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
