Role Overview: We're looking for a creative leader who's a designer at heart, and by trade - someone who has successfully lead teams of designers, but has never veered far from the craft of the work itself. Why do we need this type of creative design talent at New York Life? For starters, New York Life is rapidly expanding the solutions it provides and the audiences it serves. This transformation will require an evolution of the New York Life brand - including reimagining the way the brand shows up visually; for employees, consumers, businesses, and institutional clients. Additionally, New York Life is a company with more than 13 thousand agents and financial advisors working in communities across the country. The company's visual identity and design system has always been a critical driver of their clients' experience with the brand. The person in this role will help design and implement a new visual identity system and guidelines for New York Life - including the creation of ads, financial education content, sponsorship activations, employee engagement and recruiting campaigns. The Creative Design Director will develop work on their own as well as with the support of the in-house design team, writers, and strategists - and will report to the VP, Head of Brand Strategy & Creative. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
