We're currently hiring a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance Team for our government contracting division! As Finance Business Partner, you'll have the opportunity to specialize in the Government contracted division of work and support all activities associated with Project Finance Federal Research Operations reporting, including revenue, forecasting, sales, measuring KPIs, DFAS/DCAA rate calculations and others as required. You will also support the informational requirements for Project Finance reporting, Operations Leadership, Sales and Commercial elements at Rho. In addition, you'll be the primary contact for Federal Research Operations (FRO) Leadership in providing financial data, analysis, reporting and will support/influence key operational strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

    Serve as primary Project Finance contact for Federal Research Operations, Rho's government contracting division ("FRO") Leadership as well as financial steward and expert for FRO awards by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting to key internal & external stakeholders; act as subject matter expert for rate calculations and advises accounting and finance leadership on impacts
  • Drive the financial performance of awards through accurate reporting and strong influencing skills with the project team.
  • Provide FRO level analysis and metrics spanning actuals and forecasted sales, backlog, revenue and profitability.
  • Calculate monthly contract revenue and forecast for FRO projects, accurately under US GAAP accounting compliant with DCAA/DFAS and FAR regulations, in line with internal deliverable timelines.
  • Collaborate with award leaders to provide financial reports/information to assist with budgeting and forecasting to meet contractual requirements and to support FRO decision-making.
  • Collaborate with award leaders, functional area directors, Federal Business Services to analyze current award budgets, staffing across projects, and project future staffing needs.
  • Work with FRO Management in resource planning, optimizing utilization and profitability.
  • Challenge operational teams on decisions that will result in margin erosion or delay and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Develop, maintain and update rate calculation tools and templates to ensure rate accuracy and compliance


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent from an accredited institution, preferably in accounting or finance) and/or qualified by experience
  • 3+ years of industry experience in a Finance Analyst role, within a complex organization structure and project portfolios, with government contracting experience, including GovCon finance requirements and multiple funding mechanisms, strong acumen in DFAS or DCAA requirements and the financial aspects of the FAR (FAR 31 and 2 CFR200 / grants)
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrates ability and desire to lead within the team with strong influencing skills
  • Exceptional team player, collaborative and able to be able be an effective team member and provide guidance and support.
  • Detailed understanding of reporting requirements
  • The ability to review and challenge in a constructive manner to steer change and performance on projects
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, able prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to liaise, coordinate and lead within a matrix organization, at various levels
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and proficient in Powerpoint Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Is customer focused in approach to work.
  • Proactive and highly responsive to changing business environment

As required by pay transparency laws in some states, Rho provides the range of starting compensation (annual salary or hourly rate) it reasonably expects to pay for a given role. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to role responsibilities and location as well as candidate skill set and level of experience. The range of starting pay for this role is $110,000 to $130,000 per year
