Position Summary

The UNM Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC)
is seeking a knowledgeable, detail-oriented Sr. Program Manager with leadership
experience to join and lead a dynamic team and oversee staff operations for the Primary Care--Building Research Integration in Diverse Geographic
Environments (PC-BRIDGE) Care for Network Research Hub.

The PC-BRIDGE Network Research hub is organized to be
grounded in New Mexico's long-standing CTSA and partnered with primary care
practices in service of rural and underrepresented populations. PC-BRIDGE's
experienced team includes primary care clinical partners who are well poised to
extend research participation opportunities to NM communities often
underrepresented in clinical research, and to integrate those opportunities
into the routine primary care clinical settings where people seek care. This
team will be part of the national coordinated infrastructure as a primary care
research hub.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of PC-BRIDGE research and engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers, researchers, and community groups to ensure successful project execution.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources; develop protocols and procedures, facilitate training and support for staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Provide reports of PC-BRIDGE activities to appropriate CTSC, HSC, and NIH leadership as required.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate team effectiveness and implement necessary changes required for improvement.
  • As the requirements of each project may differ, the importance of understanding and responding to the needs of the project is critical. This includes identification of the appropriate resources, coordination, or reallocation of personnel, etc.
  • Direct, manage, and oversee daily administrative components of PC-BRIDGE.
  • Design, establish, and maintain staffing and an organizational structure to effectively accomplish PC-BRIDGE functions.
  • Work with Central Administration team to recruit and employ qualified staff. Train, supervise, and evaluate PC-BRIDGE staff.
  • Consult with multidisciplinary teams/researchers about their projects, provide budgets, develop/maintain MOUs, invoice billable activities, and track/report/evaluate core activities.
  • Serve as first point of contact for all community clinics and engaged community organizations . Specifically, promote community engagement, foster partnerships, and assess barriers to study implementation to improve the conduct of research with primary care practices.
  • Plan and develop strategies to generate resources and/or revenue for projects; may prepare contract and/or grant proposals.
  • Represent PC-BRIDGE and/or CTSC to various institutional divisions as well as externally to governmental agencies, funding agencies, national organizations, and the general public.
  • Provide expertise in a specialized field and may participate in local or statewide task forces.
  • Travel as necessary for PC-BRIDGE.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

    AVAILABILITY OF ADDITIONAL FUNDING.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; two of which are management level experience.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
