Job Description The Life Cycle Engineering Department supports the design, construction, and testing of in-service Navy DDG 51 and DDG 1000 surface combatants in multiple locations around the world. Our DDG 51 Engineering team is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with HVAC and piping system experience to support the engineering and design of distributed shipboard mechanical systems for Ship Alterations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Performing sizing calculations related to heat load and pressure loss of ventilation and flow and pressure drop modeling of piping systems as well as evaluation of impact to ship margin for Navy proposed changes.
