We are looking for a qualified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established ortho team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. We offer a supportive team environment with hands-on training from our surgeons, residents, and fellow APP's. The provider in this role will be first assisting in Ortho surgery cases as well as work in post-op care in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
The APP in this role will work with cases ranging from trauma to ortho oncology. The schedule will be Monday through Friday and hours vary based on whether it is a clinic or surgery day. There are no weekend, holiday, or night shifts.
Job Summary
First assist in orthopedic surgery
Perioperative patient care:
Ordering and interpreting labs
admission history and physicals
inpatient rounding and discharge completions
NP's will be required to have completed the RN first assist course to be considered. You must be an ACNP or PA to be considered for the role. We cannot accept FNPs.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education/Training
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
- Experience
- License/Certification/Registration
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
