Job Posting: Audit/Controls Testing (Contract)
Max Pay: $60/hour
Duration: Through August 1, 2025

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Audit/Controls Tester to support our team in planning and executing audits to assess compliance with laws, regulations, and operational risks related to complex policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in auditing HR and Compensation systems, as well as expertise in identifying risks in operational controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform steps necessary to plan and execute testing of compliance with laws, regulations, and operational risks associated with complex policies and procedures.
  • Assist in creating, reviewing, and executing test steps to identify compliance and operational risks within the organization's systems and processes.
  • Work under the direction of Leads and the Director, providing input and subject matter expertise in areas of testing.
  • Apply critical thinking and project management skills to support the ECORT testing team in meeting deadlines and achieving successful outcomes on testing projects.
  • Conduct thorough and precise documentation of audit results and findings.

Candidate Must-Haves:

  • Experience in HR and Compensation Field: Solid understanding of HR systems, compensation structures, and processes.
  • Audit Experience: Previous experience in audit roles, particularly related to IT application controls or general controls for HR systems (e.g., OneSource or similar HR software systems).
  • Compliance & Operational Risk Testing: Familiarity with testing compliance risks and operational controls in complex environments.
  • Critical Thinking & Project Management: Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Controls Testing Expertise: Knowledge of SOX, internal controls, and other related audit frameworks.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with IT application or general controls for HR systems such as OneSource or similar HR systems.
  • Understanding of audit methodologies and testing procedures in compliance and operational risk management.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: Up to $60/hour based on experience and qualifications.

Duration:

  • This is a contract position lasting until August 1, 2025.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
