Survey Technician II (Office)

Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Survey Technician II to join our Land Surveying team in our Youngsville/Raleigh office. What You Will Be Doing:

• Assist in the production of survey drawings
• Perform basic survey computations
• Use CAD and other survey/engineering software for basic survey drawing preparation
• Assist with survey field operations as needed with:
• Construction staking, which will include shoveling, lifting and carrying 25-50 lbs.
• Operate survey instruments (robotic total stations, GPS equipment and data collectors) to collect and process field measurements and data for engineering and surveying project

What We Are Looking For:

• High school diploma or Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent experience or coursework
• (3) Three years of related survey experience
• Good interpersonal written & verbal communication skills
• Good time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Advanced math skills
• Good attention to detail
• Demonstrates ability to learn survey and engineering concepts
• Working knowledge of Trimble equipment and software (Trimble Access & Trimble Business Center)
• Thorough knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge and skills in CAD and survey software (i.e. AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation)
• Possess a valid driver's license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required.
