What You Will Do: We are looking for a proactive associate to work directly with our design and product teams to introduce new product introduction (NPI) of chiller platforms detailing on the power electronics of the unit / design. In addition, the person will be writing technical literature for the new platforms and troubleshooting chiller issues in our engineering facilities, manufacturing plants, and customer / field installations. Leading and/or participating on cross functional teams (i.e., manufacturing, design, quality, supply chain) with team members located in different regions, globally, to drive continuous improvement of products and processes to improve the performance of the power electronics. About the manager... My name is Daniel Woodring, I have been working with the York / JCI team for 28 + years. I have worked within our manufacturing plants as a product line supervisor, Quality Engineer for product lines as well as a supplier Quality Engineer. I then transferred to provide technical support to our field technicians for compressors and eventually supported the team as the manager. I currently have been provided the opportunity to work directly with our Tier III technical support team of Subject Matter Experts (SME). This team is engaged with clients, field technicians, design engineers, as well as all levels of leadership within JCI on a global basis. This is a multifaceted position working with many aspects of the business such as new designs, identifying, and presenting reliability and serviceability risk, working on mature design improvements, crafting literature for the platforms, and visiting plants to participate in quality audits and reviewing how chillers are manufactured.
