We have an opportunity for a Marketing Automation Lead to join our Cary, NC team. You will be critical in driving both our email marketing efforts and analytics as well as spearheading our marketing lead nurturing process. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and be well-versed in creating automated workflows, lead nurturing, and comprehensive analytics. In this role, you will need a blend of strategic thinking & analysis but also be a strong project manager to drive execution. This role will report to the Sr. Manager of Digital & CX whose team hub is in Cary, North Carolina.

You will:

  • Deliver an email strategy to drive results that deliver growth for the business and support our customers.
  • Design, implement, and optimize automated and ad hoc email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Develop automated workflows for customer journeys, re-engagement campaigns, and transactional communications.
  • Apply best practices in email deliverability, design, A/B testing, and segmentation.
  • Collaborate with creative teams for email content creation and deployment.
  • Maintain compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Work closely with our CRM and IT teams to manage email lists, data segmentation and development needs to optimize our programs.
  • Be agile and able to respond and act quickly on urgent business communications to customers and stakeholders.
  • Create, maintain, and train standard processes required to execute email automation workstreams.
  • Manage the Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL) process via email, ensuring that leads are properly captured, scored, and routed for follow-up. Can extend beyond email channels as additional growth opportunities are presented.
  • Develop and implement nurturing workflows to move leads through the sales funnel efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and cross-functions to ensure seamless handoff and alignment on lead quality.
  • Track lead performance and optimize nurturing efforts to improve conversion rates and cost per lead.
  • Own the analytics for email marketing programs, including campaign performance, open/click-through rates, conversions, lead nurture funnel and overall ROI.
  • Monitor, analyze and share email performance metrics to drive data-driven decision-making and campaign improvements with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop dashboards and regular reports to communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • A/B test subject lines, content, and email strategies to continuously improve KPIs.
  • Monthly reporting on Marketing Lead journey including leads passed, leads rejected, cost per lead, CTOR and other important data per campaign.
  • Partner with the sales, content, digital, communications and product teams to align marketing automation efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Work closely with IT and Salesforce administrators to ensure seamless integrations and system optimizations.
  • Contribute to overall marketing strategy discussions by providing insights from the email and lead nurturing processes.

Key Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Deep knowledge of MQL processes, scoring, and conversion optimization.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and data management best practices.
  • Solid understanding of email marketing best practices, deliverability, and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a refined sense of urgency; ability to remove barriers fast.
  • Strong business acumen with proven strategic problem-solving experience
  • Demonstrated influencing leadership style - the ability to get things done through an influence-based work style; build rapport with teams quickly and elevates the culture with their teams and partners.
  • Experience in analyzing marketing and sales data and using metrics to evaluate, demonstrate, and support decision-making.
  • Strong expertise in marketing automation, lead management, and nurturing strategies.
  • Proven experience in data analysis and reporting, with an ability to turn insights into actionable recommendations.
  • BS or BA degree in business marketing or communications preferred.
  • Certification in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience with advanced email personalization and dynamic content strategies.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and tools.
  • Previous experience in a B2B2C environment.
  • Raleigh/Durham area preferred.
  • Travel Required: up to 10%.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82,300- $152,800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as annual incentive bonus.
