As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality, secure application features and integrations with backend data science systems and customer EMRs. This role requires expertise in the Salesforce platform, strong front-end web development skills, and effective collaboration within a product development team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new features to meet customer requirements using Salesforce, Skuid, Javascript, and Java/C#.
  • Enhance backend data integration software between Salesforce and R, and EMR systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce and associated integrations.
  • Adhere to SDLC procedures for all development activities.
  • Continuously optimize system performance and user experience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to understand requirements.
  • Analyze, design, and plan solutions using appropriate industry best practices and team conventions.
  • Ensure solutions are secure by following OWASP web application guidelines.
  • Estimate effort and evaluate risks of projects and tasks.
  • Debug software, resolve defects, and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Participate in agile processes, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Create and execute unit tests, perform code reviews, and document designs and implementation details.
  • Continuously learn and stay updated on SDLC practices, frameworks, tools, and healthcare domain knowledge.
  • Automate tasks and improve processes to boost team productivity.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 5+ years as a web software developer required.
  • Backend Skills: 5+ years of object-oriented software development in C# or Java required.
  • Version Control: 3+ years of experience using Git required.
  • Salesforce Expertise: 3+ years of experience with Salesforce development, including command-line tools preferred.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Product Experience: Experience working on established software products preferred.
  • Database Knowledge: Experience with SQL preferred.
  • Data Science Tools: Experience with R or other data science platforms is a plus.
  • UI Development: Experience with Skuid is a plus.
