Job Description

This position is the primary administrator of the JAMF Pro service for enterprise Apple device management used by all IT college/units/departments on campus. It is focused on identifying and collaborating on industry best practices and applying them to standardize IT processes used by departmental IT staff across MU and to support UM system. This position is required to provide technical knowledge and high level strategic ideas while following industry best practices to create efficiencies and standards for all of Distributed IT to access and follow.

Administer JAMF Pro Service for the Enterprise for all of Distributed IT for the Macintosh computer. Operating system deployment OS, IOS, automated computer back up and restore processes, software packaging and updates; security; printing for Mac.

Third Tier support and technical expert for all distributed IT Staff in units/departments/colleges for the Macintosh OS, iOS, TVOS, etc.

Support student and faculty use for academia in all Computing Sites/labs. Software, printing, security, authentication.

Initiate, plan, test, document and implement IT projects for automation and efficiencies.

Collaborate with an internal technical team as the primary expert technician on the mac.

Participate in subject specific campus committee meetings and be the technical expert for Apple- Macintosh. Be the main liaison with the Apple Technical Account Manager.

Shift

M-F, 8am - 5pm

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. 2-3 years' experience working on Mac operating systems. Broad range of LAN and desktop knowledge skills. Expansive knowledge of desktop/workstations hardware/software/operating systems (configuration and connectivity). Excellent technical knowledge and aptitude in the areas of networks, network topologies, network file servers, applicable software, and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with systems administration and security principles. Familiarity with enterprise management technology for Windows and Macintosh platforms. Familiarity with Active Directory and Exchange. Familiarity with installation, maintenance and support of wireless technologies. Practical knowledge writing in one or more programming languages for multi-use/multi-tasking environments. Strong verbal and written communication skills sufficient to interact with a variety of users and other technical staff. Strong customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

JAMF Courses 100, 200, 300, 400 are preferred.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $51,875 - $60,000 Commensurate with experience
