Position: Sr. Project Designer

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Our architects pursue design excellence with a desire to improve the interactions we have with each other and our built environment. We are ranked as the fifth-largest architectural firm in the greater Indianapolis area. Our Architecture Group includes almost 30 distinguished architects, interior designers, planners, graphic designers, and LEED-accredited professionals with direct access to our more than 500 professionals across 11 disciplines.

Our collaborative design approach brings to light creative solutions to complex challenges, while balancing social, environmental, and economic realities. We orchestrate the design process with a full range of services, from programming and concept design, through architecture, interior and graphic design, and construction administration services.



Responsibilities

LEAD PROJECTS

    Establishes overall design direction
  • Provide creative and process leadership through all phases of a project
  • Formulate design presentation strategies
  • Communicate complex design concepts verbally and graphically with digital and analogue tools
  • Support design intent through construction document preparation in coordination with project managers and project architects

PROVEN EXPERIENCE

  • Present a portfolio of innovative design solutions with an emphasis on built work
  • Experience working in various target market sectors - Corporate + Commercial, Government, Judicial, Healthcare, Higher Education, Municipal, Industrial, and/or Sports + Entertainment

INSPIRE AND INFLUENCE EXCELLENCE IN DESIGN

  • Nurture relationships with complementary design disciplines - Interiors, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, etc.
  • Develop cross-disciplinary partnerships with engineering disciplines across the firm - Civil, Structural, Environmental, etc.
  • Reinforce a high standard for design quality

FACILITATE COLLABORATION

  • Thrive in a fast-paced team environment
  • Leverage personal talents to maximize contributions to an interactive process
  • Exhibit abilities in problem solving, critical thinking and creativity
  • Review projects with the Design Director
  • Facilitate project charrettes, design pinups and project reviews

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture
  • 8 or more years of architectural or related experience
  • Registered Architect preferred
  • Experience managing client expectations and leading multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp and Enscape
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Lumion
  • Knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper and Dynamo
  • LEED accredited preferred
