Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least three years of experience in the shipping/receiving function.
  • Ability to follow complex visual work instructions.
  • Understanding and use of Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to shift priorities on short notice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to count correctly.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand the internal customer base and organize priorities to exceed customer expectations.
  • Flexibility with the ability to shift priorities as needed.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Computer literacy and working knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Summary

Ensures that incoming shipments, including production materials, non-inventory materials and service repair units are received, tracked and routed in an accurate and timely manner.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receives production and non-inventory items. Performs receiving functions as required, including verifying counts against purchase orders, data entry of transactions into computer database, and routing appropriately.
  • Communicates with purchasing department to resolve discrepancies on incoming shipments.
  • Receives and prioritizes returned product repair units. Separates and sorts by unit type. Verifies and accurately records unit information in the computer database and routes equipment to the appropriate station.
  • Corresponds with the Customer Business Services group to resolve discrepancies on incoming Service Repair Orders (SROs).
  • Logs in all Reward Program returns and forwards data to the finance department on a monthly basis.
  • Scraps obsolete, damaged or biohazardous equipment and creates traveler for accounting department.
  • Keeps receiving area neat, clean and well organized.
  • Assists shipping and inventory department with workload as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
